Job Description

Our European Technical Support amp; Management Service team is based in Desio (Monza e Brianza) and it is part of the global team whose headquarter is in Ottawa (Canada). For our Italian team, we are looking for Technical Support amp; Managed Services Specialist, an additional team member who is excited about technology and owns a collaborative mindset.

After a training period the candidate will be integrated into our Technical Support team that is in charge of taking care of after-sales technical issues.

The candidate will be also part of the team focused on the implementation of our management services business in Europe and Middle East. March Networks’ Managed Services team monitors tens of thousands of cameras, encoders and network video recorders (NVRs) for dozens of customers around the world to optimize the availability of mission-critical video surveillance systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Video-surveillance products and software (VMS, cameras, encoders, video recorders, switches, routers, hubs)
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and tools (e.g. UDP/IP, TCP/IP, HTTP, RTSP/RTP, Wireshark, Fiddler)
  • Proven experience with network traffic analysis tools (Wireshark, Fiddler, )
  • Sound experience with MS Windows Operating systems and Linux Ubuntu
  • Sound experience with DBA related activities like (DB-Index defrag, backup and restore, statistics analysis, custom SQL script preparation amp; execution) especially with MS-SQL-Server
  • Sound knowledge of MS Windows Operating systems and Linux Ubuntu
  • Familiarity with database systems
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

DESIRABLE ASSETS

  • Knowledge of March Networks products
  • Exposure to LDAP authentication mechanism is considered a PLUS
  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes is considered a PLUS
  • Sound experience with Shell / Python scripts (Windows, Linux)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or CompTia Nework+
  • Knowledge of SalesForce for RMA request management
  • Knowledge of Jira for Ramp;D escalations
  • Good Knowledge of French (written and spoken)
