Belmond is looking for a General Manager for Hotel Romazzino, a Belmond Hotel, Costa Smeralda, which is due to open as a Belmond hotel in the 2024 season.

The General Manager, who ideally joins in/around July 2023, will lead the hotel’s transitioning/rebranding process and set the hotel up for a successful opening for its first season under Belmond management.

The ideal candidate has experience working in Italy, ideally already in an island/beach resort, and at an international level and brings a wealth of experience as a luxury hospitality General Manager. It is desirable but not required for the General Manager to be based in Sardinia all year round.

Requirements

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the re-branding / transitioning process in collaboration with all key stakeholders involved at local, divisional and global level
• Oversee the hotel’s pre-opening activity and operations
• In conjunction with the Divisional functional leaders, develop and implement strategies and projects around Sales, Brand amp; Marketing, Revenue etc.
• Ensure the successful set up and delivery of all excellence related projects and manifestos in line with Hotel Romazzinos positioning
• Support / lead the recruitment of the pre-opening leadership team as required
• Achieve and exceed the hotel’s targets in terms of guest satisfaction, quality assurance and financial metrics
• Work in partnership and develop a close relationship with the owners
• Implementation of Divisional and Global initiatives as required
