The role

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our team, who is passionate about optimizing an operations machine, and making it run fast and efficiently. As a Product Manager focused on Operations and Internal Tools, you will be helping teams work as efficiently and smoothly as possible. You’ll oversee the whole internal toolset: marketing, sales, accounting, logistics, account management, customer support, and production. Your work will be cross-team and between silos of the org chart to make sure the processes are streamlined regardless of the tools used. You’ll work sometimes as an individual contributor to scrappily design and implement new features with the help of the different teams you’ll collaborate with, and other times you’ll work with designers and engineers to create end-to-end experiences; either way, you’ll be thinking about your colleagues as end users. This role requires a high degree of entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to get things done. The ideal candidate is both a system thinker and an analyst with a strong sense of customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with all the operations teams to develop product strategy and roadmap for our internal tools and process improvements.
  • Developing holistic solutions across the stack of tools and teams to improve both your colleagues’ and clients’ experience.
  • Leading cross-functional collaborations from end to end to build consensus and manage expectations.
  • Using second-order thinking to optimize internal tools to improve the final client's user experience.
  • Passionate about designing processes, fixing processes, improving processes, and streamlining (guess what!) processes.
  • Getting your hand dirty and doing whatever is necessary to support the internal tools and operations teams.


Some important details:

  • Empatica is an international environment with offices in Europe and the US, and so we conduct all our work in English
  • We are operating a hybrid model where our employees choose whether to work from home or come to the office, however, this is not a full-remote positio

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Has an owner’s mindset and doesn’t think something is someone’s else job. They are comfortable with responsibility and take action with a high level of complexity and unpredictability. They lead without authority and make stuff happen around them.
  • Is an exceptional communicator who can build consensus among different stakeholders and manage expectations.
  • Can apply first principles to achieve goals, regardless of what the theory says (but seriously keeping it into account).
  • Is deeply passionate about anything related to processes.

Bonus
  • Worked for 2+ years of experience in product management with agile product development.
  • Used and configured CRMs and ERPs platform.
  • Scaled a startup from its early days and contributed to its growth.
