Job Description

METKA EGN Italy, a utility-scale world class EPC and developer, is seeking an experienced Oamp;M Project Manager to join its Oamp;M team which deals with solar farms and battery storage facilities. The Oamp;M Project Manager will ensure the correct Operation and Maintenance of Solar Farm Projects in Italy. As our Oamp;M project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project's organization and timeline.


Position Specifications
  • To organize/arrange resources to perform Maintenance activities (subcontractors, specialized companies, suppliers)
  • To support Regional Head of Oamp;M for recruitment of local Oamp;M personnel and startup of local Oamp;M operations
  • To support Regional Head of Oamp;M to budget and to keep track of it
  • To liaise with the engineering and construction team in technical aspects that come up during the operational phase
  • To develop, implement, plan, coordinate, schedule maintenance procedures with Contractors/ inhouse teams in line with manufacturers recommendation and keeping contractual obligations
  • To ensure compliance of the activities with local rules and regulations
  • To liaise with Hamp;S team at any fault raised as a Hamp;S hazard at the projects and cooperate with them in order to fix issues raised during the Hamp;S audits carried out annually.
  • To have knowledge of the contracts (EPC and Oamp;M).
  • To manage single or a portfolio of solar projects, ensuring that all Oamp;M activities are undertaken in accordance with the agreed contractual scope.
  • To chase Oamp;M subcontractors or Oamp;M teams to address any failures/downtimes the soonest possible in order to ensure guaranteed project KPI’s (PR and Availability).
  • To ensure that CMMS tool is up to date and manage (open/close/update) fault tickets, keeping contractual obligations.
  • To liaise with the project Clients (especially the Client AM), organizing regular update calls and respond to any issues for the sites raised by the project Clients (operational or non-operational).
  • To assist Performance Analysts for implementation of Oamp;M reporting (monthly, yearly).
  • liaise with Regional Account teams for invoices acceptance/ confirmation, contracts amendments/preparation, services, materials delivery confirmation.
  • To liaise with grid operators in case of failures/scheduled outages for the projects.
  • To work on the FAC punch lists of the project and pursue the FAC certificate (negotiating with the clients).
  • To chase up the release of WC/PAC/FAC retentions from the clients.
  • To expand the database of our contractors by making new collaborations after searching for new contractors.
    • Specific KPIs: (measurable value of progress setting targets
    • Achieve a positive Oamp;M balance sheet of solar projects for the Operational Period
    • Achieve the contractual guaranteed KPIs (PR and Availability)
    • Ensure that the budget does not suffer unnecessary costs

    Requirements

    Education Requirements:

    • Electrical Engineering or similar discipline

    Knowledge Requirements (Technical Competencies):

    • Minimum 3 years proven track record in Maintenance of big scale solar projects
    • Experience with budget preparation and management
    • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
    • Proactive attitude, not reactive

    Preferred Work Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years proven track record in supervision / management of mixed teams (Oamp;M contractors or/and Oamp;M technicians, Vendors) for the operation of solar projects
    • Minimum 5 years proven track record in the Solar industry

    Other (qualifications, certifications, professional memberships etc.):

    • Experience in Contracts Management
    • Hamp;S competencies
    • Fluency in written and spoken English and Italian
    • Knowledge of the local regulations and legal requirements
