Project Director - Renewables

MYTILINEOS, a leading industrial company with a strong international presence in two Sectors, Energy and Metallurgy, is currently seeking to hire a Project Director based in Milan, Italy for Solar amp; Battery Storage Projects.

• Coordination and roll out (according to company procedures) with Design Department for the needed supports during Tender preparation.
• Decision on brand and type of major equipment for the tender in accordance with commercial and technical specifications
• Cooperation with technical team for calculation of Performance Warranties for the project [PR level, production warranty, availability level]
• Evaluation of RFQ proposals
• Review of Head of Terms and legal due diligence of the tender contracts
• Review of the commercial terms of the tender [payment terms, warranties, timeline, LDs]
• Decision on the contractual Warranties for the tender [PR level, production warranty, availability level]
• Budget Preparation and submission for approval
• Coordination/Overview between different internal departments having a role in the tender preparation
• Submission of the tender folder and follow up of the process
• Determination of the project time schedule in accordance with equipment delivery times, workmanship and contract timeline
• Negotiation and formulation of the payment terms
• Coordination and roll out (according to company procedures) with Design Department for the needed supports during EPC contract preparation.
• Sign off of the technical part of the EPC contract, legal part of the EPC contract, finance part of the EPC contract, Oamp;M part of the EPC contract
• Pre Contract report
• Signature of the EPC contract
• RFQ for modules [pricing, availability, delivery and payment terms]
• Commercial term sheet for modules
• Preparation of RFQ for rest of equipment (cables, grounding, fence, CB, Wellfare, Buildings, Monitoring, Security system, Security services)
• Commercial term sheet for rest of equipment, subcontractors, HV Subcontractors, Investors / MV, structures
• Management of start up procedures before NTP [working visas, taxation structure, consultants]
• Prepare, finalize and sign Supply and Services contract, according to the final Commercial Term sheets
• Issuance of necessary bonds and insurance policies
• Determination of recruitment needs for each project [internal amp; external resources]
• Cashflow Reporting
• Monitoring and keeping track on the project's timetable
• Monitoring and updating the project's cash flow / communicating any variations
• Review and evaluation of extra cost/change orders requests [to and from customer/subcontractors]

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical or civil engineering or other. MSc is considered an advantage
• Certification in project management e.g. MBA / PMP / PRINCE II is considered an advantage.
• Proven track record (minimum 8 years’ experience) in the construction of solar parks.
• PMP / PRINCE II.
• Fluency in English essential (both spoken and written)
• Working knowledge of MS Project
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
