Tyvak International, a Terran Orbital company, is seeking a motivated Electronic Test Engineer, to work in our Space Laboratory in Torino. Tyvak is a leading worldwide provider of nanosatellite and microsatellite vehicles, services, and solutions to Commercial and Institutional customers. As Electronic Test Engineer, the candidate will join a collaborative team to manage all phases of electronic boards and subsystems tests.
Responsibilities include:
- Participate in hardware requirements generation and testing discussion with multiple team members
- Writing in collaboration with the electronic designers of the testing procedures for electronic boards or subsystems
- Support electronic designers in project validation tests and troubleshooting
- Support electronic designers for project reviews (schematic, PCB, Manufacturing files)
- Perform PCB/PCBA receiving inspection and functional acceptance tests
- Understand technical documents and work according to company procedures and technical drawings
- Design and production of breakout harnesses such as cable assemblies or simple test tools
- Tin soldering for harnessing and minor PCB assembly or reworks
- Interface with engineers and technicians to advance to larger scale manufacturing and automation
- Interface with suppliers for the purchase, repair or calibration of laboratory equipment
- Keep Integration areas (tools, toolboxes, workstations, etc.) clean and tidy in accordance with company policy.

Requirements
- Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- Good knowledge of digital and analog electronics
- Good knowledge of common physical layer protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB)
- Thorough knowledge and use of laboratory instrumentation and electrical measurements (oscilloscope, power supply, logic analyzer, signal generator)
- Ability to work methodically in a Lab environment to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Proficient use of written and oral English language is mandatory
- Methodical electronic circuit system debug and problem-solving skills
- Good communication with team members and proactive attitude
- Ability to operate following ESD precautions
- Electrical components handling and soldering for board modification as needed
- Inspection of critical electronic/electrical/electro-mechanical hardware.
Desirable/Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of microcontroller programming (MSP430)
- Knowledge of programming languages (C/C++/Python)
- Writing of small firmware applications for microcontrollers to test all the functions of the electronic board
- Experience with Electronic CAD software (Altium Designer, LT-Spice
