Job Description
Cellply is seeking qualified applicants for the position of back-end software developer. The focus of this position is the development of a software application for the control of an innovative life science analytical instrument supporting the development and manufacturing of cell therapies.
As a back-end developer, you have deep knowledge of the Java language and experience working with JPA, Spring and Hibernate frameworks. You have a thorough understanding of the options and tools available for developing, testing, releasing and deploying production-level applications. You are a passionate technologist with the discipline to create and finish projects. You have opinions about your favorite open source projects, or perhaps you have contributed to some or started one of your own. You are a great communicator and are active in your development community.
Functions
- Development and maintenance of production-level applications relying on Java-based microservices
- Process automation (including but not limited to remote synchronization)
- Test plan and test case design for software verification
- Bug tracking and fixing
- Work in collaboration with software and mechanical engineers, scientists, product managers, end-users to implement new features and perform in field validation
Requirements
Required qualifications
- 2+ years experience in software development
- Passion for software development (degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline is a plus)
- Extensive knowledge of Java, JPA, Spring and Hibernate frameworks
- Good knowledge of shell scripting
- Working experience in database design/management (PostgreSQL is highly preferred)
- Working experience with Git version control systems
- Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken)
Preferred skills
- Experience in full-stack development and DevOps
- Knowledge of quality system regulations (e.g., software life cycle process standard IEC 62304, 21 CFR part 820)
- Knowledge of Labview for lab/test automation
- Experience with Groovy scripting language
