Job Description
Do you have fire and gas engineering experience, and are you seeking a new contract in Skellefteå, Sweden? SilverBack Staffing is looking for a Fire and Gas Engineer, and the role comes with a per-day contract rate.
As a flexible Fire amp; Gas Engineer, you will provide specialised technical support, troubleshooting and failure analysis of all Fire and Gas systems and telecommunication systems consisting of Telephone Exchange (PABX), Public Address System and Wireless Radio System and other low-power systems such as CCTV System and Access Control System.
To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
- Direct and supervise the activities assigned to the supervisors/technicians to carry out troubleshooting of problems occurring in the Fire and Gas and Telecom area, recommending corrective actions and follow up to implement the same
- Perform failure analysis of repeated problems, find root cause and suggest and implement improvements
- Establish communication and liaise with vendors to resolve major issues when necessary in consultation with section/department authority
- Be responsible for pre-commissioning, commissioning, SAT, Start-up activities.
To apply for this Gas Engineer role, you will need a Diploma or Degree in Fire, Fire Safety, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering. You will also require the following:
- Good knowledge of production facilities in an oil or petrochemical industry and installation, repair, testing and maintenance of electrical, fire detection systems
- 5-10 years of experience
- Fluency in English with good communication skills
- Knowledge of safety workshops such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, etc.
- EU Passport/EU Citizenship/Swedish residency
