We offer a role as Product Design Engineer, who will be based in Aliaxis Casella (GE), reporting to the Technical Team Leader Development Manager. This figure will be part of and provide support to the EMEA IPD (Innovation and Product Development) department.
The candidate will be in charge of running technical projects regarding new product development through 3D modeling and design using CAD tools. Increasing experience, the candidate will gain responsibility and independence.
The Key Responsibilities can be summarized as follows:
- Concept new products with 3D CAD modelling following Product Development Engineer guidelines.
- Technical skills and mindset
- Support iterative design for product optimization together with FEM Simulation Engineer and test laboratory Engineer.
- Prepare from 3D models prepare the 2D drawings with tolerance
- Provide initial cost evaluations supported from Seniority
- Manage the model/drawing revisions in the hub data base.
- Provide drawings for technical documentation within agreed deadlines.
- Define technical data for ERP data entry (Production Cycles, BOM, Packaging).
- Support for negotiation with suppliers amp; procurement (technical requirements).
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering.
- skills in CAD software and drawings management applications.
- Knowledge of plastic components design techniques.
- Competence in injection molding technology and machine tools production technology.
- Awareness in additive manufacturing technologies.
- FEM (Stress/Deformation, CFD)) knowledge and competences is considered a plus.
