We offer a role as Continuous Improvement Specialist, who will be based in Aliaxis Casella (GE) and report to the CI manager of the site.
This figure will be in charge of deploying the operational excellence program plant wide and the suite of OpEx tools at plant level. The candidate will also have the responsibility to develop manufacturing amp; supply chain excellence initiatives for the site, driving the pipeline of initiatives, coordinating plant team to achieve optimum results with regards to staff, systems, equipment, machines amp; site operations, in order to meet the plant excellence goals amp; strategy.
The Key Responsibilities can be summarized as follows:
- Ensure that Group organisational standards for management for Health and Safety, Quality, ISO14001, Corporate Policy, Customer Excellence and business values are adhered to during project delivery
- Responsible for executing manufacturing and supply chain excellence goals and execution plant wide to achieve performance, financial and staff development objectives.
- Facilitates, assists, and develops shop floor excellence operations and removes barriers for employees to meet measurable objectives.
- Deploy and participates in Gemba walks and coaching employees on 5S / standard work / visual management development/modification/adherence, M.D.I., continuous improvement, flow, and problem solving and other lean methods, techniques and processes.
- Participates in the training and development of plant employees in excellence program
- Support planning, execution and sustainment of Kaizen and Lean manufacturing related events with in value stream team(s).
- Track and report program progress and communicate with plant leadership.
- Provides a physical presence in the workplace.
- Contribute to the development of Best Place to Work objective through effective people management and talent management (Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Development, Performance Calibration etc) for direct and indirect employees in collaboration with relevant functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in operations including of successful process improvement success
- Solid project management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong coaching and facilitation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A solid understanding of Engineering, Project Management, Lean Principles, Six Sigma, Financial acumen.
- Must be able to manage cross functionally with direct and indirect influence.
- Must be able to facilitate individually and at the team level.
- Have a working knowledge and ability to deploy LEAN, Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and strong personal ownership to operational performance and excellence.
- Strong project management skills.
- Effective at engaging and leading stakeholders across levels and businesses in order to realize operational excellence goals and objectives.
- Willing to travel within the Division.
- Written and spoken English.
