Job Description

Location: Bologna or Milan

We are recruiting for a Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant to play a critical role in supporting the development of our global maritime and ports offer across the Company through integrated teamwork and entrepreneurial spirit. The Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant will work at advisory projects with primary focus on DD, market, technical and strategic advisory to Clients in Italy, Europe, Americas and Asia in the freight (container, bulk) and passenger (ferry, cruise) maritime sectors.

Requirements

What we'd like from you:

  • Experience in maritime and ports sector and projects;
  • Knowledge of the maritime and ports sector strategic aspects, market dynamics and drivers, in particular in the freight sector;
  • Ability to take a Project Manager role and deliver successful projects (time, cost, quality);
  • Good capabilities in spreadsheets (Excel);
  • Ability to create reports in a logical and well-structured way;
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to explain clearly and with confidence analyses’ findings to non-technical audiences;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, time-management and ability to work as part of a team;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to support work winning;
  • Availability to attend Client’s meetings in Italy and abroad as required by projects;
  • Fluency in both Italian and English is a must (writing and speaking). Additional language capabilities would be an advantage.

Desirable additional attributes

  • Knowledge of port operational aspects;
  • Previous experience in DD mandates, in particular in the maritime and ports sectors;
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing stakeholder groups;
  • Track record in winning work and Client engagement.
