What you will be doing
We are looking for an exceptional Lead Data Scientist comfortable working with large datasets and the unique challenges that it presents and able to work in an agile, but architecture led environment. As a Lead Data Scientist you will join our amazing Strategy amp; Data Team and, among other activities you will:
- work alongside other talented data engineers and data analysts building a best in class data infrastructure and performing analysis on large sets of data to extract impactful insights on user behaviour that will help drive product and design decisions
- communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders across Satispay
- be a key partner in our work to build out our product strategy so that we are relevant in the daily lives of consumers
What we need
Our ideal candidate has a proven business judgement ability along with good communication skills: if you think you are able to take complex, ambiguous topics and create compelling narratives for various and diverse audiences - both external stakeholders and colleagues - then submit your application.
You have:
- At least 8+ years of experience in Data Science or related fields
- Relevant experience or a degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, physics or another quantitative subject area (PhD is a plus)
- Strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders
- Know how to understand and tackle loosely defined problems and come up with relevant answers and impactful insights
- You enjoy sharpening questions and developing hypothesis for yourself and can think together with others while clarifying their assumptions and hypothesis
- Proficiency with Python and the most common libraries (e.g. Pandas, TensorFlow, Numpy, Scikit-Learn, Pytorch, Plotly, Seaborn) or R
- Proficiency in SQL, GIT, and GitHubL
- Extensive experience using various analysis techniques, such as linear regression, and logistic regression, GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, Neural Network/Deep Learning, Catboost, significance testing, and statistical modelling
- Expertise with statistical techniques and their applications in business
- Knowledge of MLOps methodology and Spark is considered a plus
