about this role
We are looking for a Store/Concession Assistant Manager to help lead a team of Brand Ambassadors in one of our retail spaces. Together with the store manager you will deliver an exceptional, engaging customer experience, resulting in solid commercial results and team satisfaction. Our retail spaces are a place for our customers to engage with our innovation and science in person, and to develop a deeper connection with the brand. Our Store Managers enable the creation of these relationships, along with the operational and people management of the space and the commercial success of their space.

a day in the life

  • Working with the store manager to lead the team and experience at their PANGAIA store, communicating and executing the vision, business needs, and strategies for commercial success.
  • Build and foster a customer centric environment in which teams feel empowered to deliver the best possible experience for our clients.
  • Assist in the coordination of all store functions such as inventory management, visual merchandising, and daily reporting while ensuring compliance with company procedures and policies. You will work very closely with our Retail Operations function.
  • Delivery of commercial and customer KPIs, and reporting against them.
  • Optimise store performance through continuous evaluation of existing processes and implement change where necessary.
  • Assist in clientele generation through customer engagement and build long term loyal client relationships.
  • Maintaining company brand and concept standards on both the shop floor and back of house
  • Ensuring exceptional standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and merchandising are upheld
  • Assist the recruitment and training of our brand ambassadors to ensure the best customer experience in the store.
  • Always demonstrate an authentic, best-in-class approach to customer satisfaction. Educating customers on Innovation and Sustainability.


  • Passion for Sustainability and Materials innovation.
  • At least 3 years professional experience as an Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and cost control.
  • Result-oriented, ability to identify connections, adopt different perspectives, and quickly and strategically responds to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to set the standard for operational efficiency, through processes and systems and identifying areas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and feels there is no task too small or too large
  • Ability to prioritize work for themselves and others effectively.
  • Previous experience working in a new retail concept or for a start-up brand desirable
