FINANCIAL Analyst
Belmond is recruiting a Financial Analyst for the Castello Di Casole, a Belmond Hotel in Siena, Italy. The Financial Analyst is responsible for the accounting and financial functions of the property.Specifically, this involves the following:
o Ensure all related local and corporate policies and procedures and management and other agreements are observed by all finance and management personnel.
o Safeguard all of the business assets and financial resources to ensure that all are utilized to maximize the business profitability.
o Provide timely and accurate financial information and counsel to senior management on all aspects of the business of the property
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
Control
Responsible for overseeing the monitoring, controlling and recording all sales, purchases, salaries and expenses of the business. Maintain close liaison with the external and internal auditors and ensure effective action as necessary on all their agreed upon recommendations.Reporting
Responsible for overseeing the preparation of all monthly financial reporting of the businesses (Hotel business, Land Development business and Agricultura business). Responsible for ensuring that reporting is prepared in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Responsible for overseeing the preparation of forecasts, budgets and long-term plans for the business. Oversee the financial management and the monthly and annual reporting of the business.Performance
Responsible for monitoring all budgets and for reporting major deviations Responsible to assist in implementing controls, solutions and action plans to bring actual performance as close as possible to budget. Assist in establishing local policies, rules, internal controls and safeguards that ensure profitability and control of operations. Advise and provide counsel on all financial matters.Treasury amp; Tax
Oversee the Treasurer function with regard to cash planning, Responsible for ensuring that all taxes are paid and that all related reports are filed on a timely basis. Review all changes of tax laws and accounting policies, assess their implications on the business and ensure the finance team implements appropriate changes.EXPERIENCE, SKILLS amp; KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Economics, Management, Finance or Hotel Management Fluent in English spoken and written skills as well as Italian Knowledge of the Accountings Italian law and regulations Working experience minimum of 5 years and 3 years in a similar position Preferably working experience in hotel business in an international company Solid knowledgeable of IT systems, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strategic, and strong analytical skills Proven ability to work independently Results-driven high focus.
