Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel, Taormina is searching for a passionate Sommelier to join their team for the 2022 season.
The ideal candidate is willing to provide excellent and personalized guest experiences, he / she should have exceptional taste and exemplary customer service skills. The sommelier is responsible for the selection of wines and their service throughout the Food and Beverage operation.
Main duties amp; responsibilities:
Anticipate guests needs, providing an excellent and personalized guest experience according to our service standards;Collaborate with the Bar Manager and Restaurant Manager to establish the wine selection;Develop special events about wine;Cooperate with the Restaurant Manager for staff development;Inventory and requisitions: assist in monitoring stock levels and ordering replacement deliveries. Avoid any waste and capable to control beverage margins;Compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
At least 3 years of professional experience within the same role in a luxury hotel Fluent in Italian and English, third language preferredSommelier AIS or FISARProfessional knowledge of Italian cuisine and Italian amp; International winesExceptional customer service skillsBenefits
