Job Description

An exciting opportunity for 2022 has arisen for a seasonal Front Desk Agent at Cipriani, A Belmond Hotel to support the Front Desk team with ensuring that every single guest has an exquisite experience at the hotel.

The ideal candidate is passionate for the hospitality business and willing to provide authentic, luxury experiences in this world-renowned destination to our guests, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity and community.

The Front Desk Agent, who reports to the Front Office Manager, will:

  • Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner;
  • Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner;
  • Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location;
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and handle guests’ complaints;
  • Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up;
  • Support and ensure that our Belmond procedures and LQA standards of service are respected;
  • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures including but not limited to posting all charges, completing cashier, preparing deposit and other reports;
  • Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue.

Other requirements:

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in Italian and English; a third language is preferred (French and German);
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Previous professional experience in the same role within a luxury environment;
  • Passion for customer service and ambition to grow professionally;
  • You have an eye for detail and are able to multitask;
  • Knowledge of PMS, such as Infor HMS or others;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
