As we expand our operations globally, it’s vital that we onboard an experienced Head of Finance to build, support, and coach a world class finance and accounting organisation for our Italian operations.
Reporting to the Group CFO, the Head of Finance is responsible for the entire accounting function and financial strategy of Getir Italy. Additionally they will be instrumental in the development of internal control policies and procedures within the company, locally and globally.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the Italian Finance function (which you will be responsible for recruiting from day one)
- Managing accounting operations (including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition)
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances
- Lead profitability analysis and OPEX controlling
- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of reporting in accordance with local and IFRS standards
- Creating monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends and financial forecasts
- Documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Streamlining and improving accounting systems and operations
- Overseeing the management of cash flow and debt/debt collection
- Managing the audit process and liaising with external auditors
- Contributing to company financial strategy and decision-making processes
- Assisting the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board members
Requirements
- A curious and persistent personality with a can-do attitude and hands-on mentality.
- 10+ years financial accounting, controlling and reporting experience
- Familiarity with Italian law, accounting standards and taxes
- Sector experience: FMCG/retail experience
- Experience in managing and developing staff
- Independent self-starter with the ability to prioritise and respond quickly
- Good business sense, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with management and teams across the organisation
- Proven ability to operate and succeed within a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint (Tableau is a plus) skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
