As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for our new Platform Team. You’ll work in a team of engineers and data scientists to build great products that will be used by developers and researchers that are changing healthcare.

The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and is passionate about creating products that can change the future of an industry. You will have the freedom and responsibility to make a major impact in the quickly-changing healthcare sector. This is an opportunity to shape and define a product, have ownership, and make impactful decisions.

You will be involved in:

  • Setting the product direction. You’ll set the product strategy by keeping the roadmap updated, prioritizing features, and coordinating deadlines across disciplines. You’ll be responsible for the product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery, through product briefs, requirements, user stories, and user testing.
  • Creating a high-performing team. You’ll run agile ceremonies to ensure the team is working efficiently while building consensus, and coordinating releases. You’ll discuss technical implementation details with engineers, data scientists, regulatory, and QA to ship high-quality products and strike a balance between customer needs and deadlines.
  • Making the product successful. You’ll work and coordinate with product marketing, customer success, support, sales, and operations to develop effective go-to-market plans, training, and processes for product launches. You’ll craft product documentation and release notes to ensure knowledge is disseminated. You’ll prototype new features or products ideas and gather feedback to improve them.
  • Aligning people around you. You'll build consensus from key stakeholders around the most important problems to tackle. You'll communicate the product roadmap, benefits, and results to internal and external customers. You'll serve as the voice of the customer with your team and represent your team when speaking to stakeholders.

Requirements

You are an ideal candidate for this role if you:

  • Have high agency. You have a natural ability to make things happen around you, you take responsibility for results and don’t make excuses. You are a person that either finds a way or creates one.
  • Have technical and PM experience. You have at least 4 years of experience as a Product Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex software/data products at scale. You have a Master’s degree in a technical, scientific, or quantitative discipline or relevant experience.
  • Are an empathetic and low-ego communicator. You are organized, clear, and concise. You can articulate a vision that inspires, resonates, and drives clarity. You handle conflict and hard conversations directly with maturity.
  • Thrive in uncertainty. You manage chaos, ambiguity, and complexity in a detailed and organized way by creating models and principles that your team can follow. You create effective plans with a defined purpose and business outcomes, defined roles/responsibilities, and clear timelines/milestones.
  • Are a servant leader. You don't think you are the CEO of the product, but rather the servant of the product team. You lead without authority and influence others to take ownership of their work. You have proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment and have experience in leading cross-cultural diverse teams with different communications styles.

You are an ideal candidate for Empatica if you:

  • Know that life is too short to do petty things: you feel an obligation to work on something that will make the world a better place.
  • Discuss openly face to face: you’re not afraid to speak up, good ideas are more
