TrueLayer’s PayDirect team is disrupting the payments industry. PayDirect is a product built on open banking and the fastest available bank payment rails, it provides firms with instant payments and withdrawals, a high converting and low fraud payments method while accelerating KYC and AML processes, to deliver the most complete solution on the market.

As the team expands and the product scales to more clients around the world, we’re looking for someone who is excited about revolutionising the developer experience of our clients

As one of our frontend engineers, you will:
- Design, build and maintain Web Solutions (SDKs / Standalone applications) so our clients can provide an exceptional user experience
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and customer support to make sure what we’re building meets the needs of our clients
- Lead brainstorming for technical solutions and clearly articulate tradeoffs backed with data
- Help us grow our web team and define best practices for web development in collaboration with other front-end teams
- Conduct code reviews and share knowledge with other engineers to maximise the overall Engineering organisations’ capabilities, potential and growth
- Contribute to our culture, and help make sure TrueLayer remains an exceptional place to work
Requirements
What we need from you:
- Have experience building and styling responsive web applications with modern JavaScript (Typescript) libraries and tooling
- Own web user interface best practices and the impact it has on customers interactions with products
- Experience writing automated tests for frontend applications and advocate for the importance of the testing pyramid
- You have a product mindset and are excited by what we are building: you care about customer outcomes and you want to make data-informed decisions
- Enjoy being part of a small team and are actively thinking of ways to enhance our processes, our internal tools, and the way we work
Nice to haves:
- Experience with Vanilla Js (to build on top of the platform)
- Experience working on payments products
