Job Description

WorkWave is looking for a Creative Copywriter to help us improve how we communicate with our audience about our products and tell the overall WorkWave brand story in original, imaginative, attention grabbing ways.
We’re looking for someone who can do more than just write copy. We’re looking for a creative thinker who can put strategic ideas and visions into compelling words that in combination with our visuals, help sell WorkWave and its products to our key audiences and tell our corporate story. Whether in print, email, web, social, audio or film, we are looking for someone who can ultimately help us produce compelling copy that catches the attention of our audience while connecting the dots between our product and corporate messages, as well as help to heighten the brand awareness of the work we produce. This role will be essential in our continued efforts to produce engaging content that articulates the WorkWave story directly to the industries we serve. We are seeking a fresh and creative thinker with a strong portfolio of work behind them that shows concepts, ideas, and hooks for campaigns and videos.WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Weaving all components of the WorkWave story from start to finish, through a variety of mediums and channels
  • Generate creative headlines for our marketing materials including email, landing pages, social media, sell sheets, videos and more
  • Develop engaging content for our website while incorporating SEO keywords, videos and corporate facing marketing materials that targets our specific customer personas
  • Assist with developing briefs into campaign ideas and concepts
  • Work with the Manager, Interactive Design and the product marketing team members to develop naming, brand identity and positioning for new-to-market product launches
  • Editing content for grammar, content and logic so it all has the same consistent tone and message
  • Comfortability with a fast-paced environment in which multiple projects and tasks need to be worked on simultaneously, and time-sensitive deadlines need to be met.
  • A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
  • Work with the Product Marketing Managers to create product specific personas that help identify each target demographic for all WorkWave products
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Creativity: Creative Copywriters will invent new ideas for branding, advertising campaigns, and marketing messages. They need to understand smart, conceptual copy, and recognize fresh approaches to advertising
  • Interpersonal: The Creative Copywriter will meet with Marketing Team members on a regular basis. Being a good communicator to all involved is paramount
  • Analytical: Advertising and marketing is ever-evolving, and good Creative Copywriters are able to analyze trends, look at new data and keep with the times
  • Work in a Fast Paced Environment: Advertising campaigns have timelines, and creative copywriters will need to create the final copy, conceptual headlines, and video scripts
  • Time Management: The Creative Copywriter will have to make sure all deadlines are met on all the content they create and manage their own time
ADDITIONALLY, YOU'LL NEED:
  • BA in Communications with a concentration on Advertising
  • Should be familiar with traditional and digital marketing channels, content marketing and distribution platforms, and consumer analytics
  • Experience in working with Field Service Companies
  • Creative, advertising writing experience
  • Experience writing for websites and other web properties
  • Interviewing experience
  • Experience with WordPress website management (uploading content, images or creating new pages).
  • Experience working at an agency, or on multiple projects at once
  • An understanding of how SEO and SEM works within the advertising space
  • A working knowledge and understanding of various writing styles: AP, APA, Chicago and MLA
  • A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
  • Strong Experience with project management
