The core role:
The Senior Medical Writer is someone who is looking to expand their career/horizons to take on a more global or international reach and responsible for:
- Contributing to the full range of medical education/communication programmes
- Will have responsibility across a large multimillion dollar account, of the medical content
- Will be responsible for strategy and proposals to the client as well as supervision of medical content development phases
- Will be responsible for the supervision of and the building up of the internal medical team dedicated to the brand
- Will need to be hands-on too and willing to get into the nitty-gritty of development of all materials.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience as a Medical Writer within a healthcare, meded or medcoms agency
- Details of previous agencies, clients, therapy area experience, project types and the audiences for which you have written
- Strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence, the ability to adapt your approach according to the needs of clients and teams, and the ability to respond rapidly to situations and manage internal/external issues
- Familiarity with organic growth and contributing to proposals and pitches
- Ability to deliver events and large educational programmes, and experience of digital projects
