GCamp;C is the Generali Group unit that develops Pamp;C business and insurance services for medium and large companies. The unit acts on a global scale and deploys an integrated approach at Group level with a central management team and specialized teams active in individual countries. Through GCamp;C, Generali aims to become a key world player in the corporate-commercial segment.
Role Mission:
- Assist and support Head of Marine Underwriting in ensuring the development and technical profitability of Marine portfolios across GCamp;C Countries and Regions.
- Assist in developing a cohesive underwriting strategy in line with Portfolio Management approach.
- Support and coordinate the underwriting activities in all countries where GCamp;C has a Marine portfolio
- Assist Head of Marine Underwriting in developing and delivering an empowered underwriting enhanced framework
Main Responsability:
Work with GCamp;C Head of Marine Underwriting in order to locally define and implement the GCamp;C underwriting strategy and portfolio management framework for Marine LoB within Countries and Regions to:
- Embody a diversified portfolio approach;
- Deliver technical underwriting acumen;
- Support local markets facing underwriting teams with technical expertise and sharing of best practices
- Support GCamp;C Head of Marine with ad hoc analysis relative to GCamp;C Marine markets and products
- Act as referral point for local GCamp;C units on most complex risks
- Support GCamp;C Head of Marine to develop and maintain standard underwriting tools
- Support GCamp;C Head of Marine to develop and maintain portfolio management tools
- Work with GCamp;C Head of Marine Underwriting in order to locally drive technical training
- Support GCamp;C Head of Marine in defining and monitoring global underwriting strategy
- Assist GCamp;C Head of Marine with portfolio management activity, products diversification and capacity deployment analysis
- Assist GCamp;C Head of Marine with delegation of underwriting authorities cascading
- Support and play a reference role for Marine Line of Business accumulation amp; CAT risks monitoring
- Contribute to products and service innovation
- Assist with management of underwriting clearance requests from market facing teams
- Entertain a collaborative relationship with the other functions within GCamp;C Central Team
- Assist and coordinate Technical Underwriting Reviews in GCamp;C Countries and Regions
- Work with GCamp;C Head of Marine Underwriting to deliver technical content and KPIs to GCamp;C Senior Management
- Support risk quality review protocols, including engaging GCamp;Cās Risk Engineering team when appropriate
- Support GCamp;C Head of Marine in identifying and fostering developing talents within local Marine Underwriting teams
Requirements
- Heightened understanding of Marine products and portfolio management issues
- Understanding of local insurance markets and competition landscape within GCamp;C Countries and Regions
- Technical underwriting skills preferably acquired in an insurance company underwriting environment
- Strong commercial skills with the ability to interact confidently with business colleagues and management based worldwide
- Excellent communication, presentation skills amp; manners
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and engaging skills
- Fluent in English, other language skills will be an advantage
- Willingness to travel and to work in a multicultural environment
- Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Analytical skills (financial and computational)
- 5 years in marine products underwriting experience
