Job Description

In this highly visible role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for business leaders and employees in India as we build out a best-in-class core People function. You will work closely with leadership as a critical employee success partner to bring together our top talent strategies to support the business. The HR Business Partner’s primary responsibility is to provide best-in-class partnership experience through HR initiatives, process improvements, employee engagement and communication excellence. Major Responsibilities:
Recruiting: Lead talent acquisition efforts for designated business units, including workforce planning, recruitment, and selection. Participate in recruiting activities, including publishing job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating online tests. Serve as a liaison between third-party recruiters and team leads to ensure a smooth recruitment process. Coordinate campus recruitment visits.
Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business objectives and provide HR expertise and guidance. Contribute to the development and execution of HR strategies that support the company’s growth and talent objectives.
Employee Relations and Development: Act as a trusted advisor to management, providing guidance on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and performance management. Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Provide counseling to employees regarding career paths and available opportunities. Arrange mentor-mentee relationships within the organization to promote employee growth and development. Organize employee achievement celebrations, employee anniversaries, and other employee engagement initiatives. Work with managers to identify high-potential employees and develop succession plans.
Compliance and Statutory Requirements: Ensure compliance with various labor department statutory requirements, such as the PF Act, ESI Act, Maternity Leave Act, etc. Act as a liaison officer with concerned departments as needed. Collaborate with the accounting department to configure electronic versions of registers and data entry tools for tracking and compliance with legal requirements.
Talent Planning and HR Analytics: Work with the global HR team to project future human resource requirements and plan talent acquisition and reskilling initiatives. Collaborate with the global HR team to track attrition and balance resources across product teams. Identify key performance indicators from a human capital management perspective.
HR Programs and Reporting: Support core HR initiatives, including performance management, learning and development, and other identified programs. Assist the global HR team in publishing periodic reports. Occasionally assist with handling petty cash and interact with external vendors as the accounting department requires.
Skills/Abilities: Experience working with international/global teams in a multi-site, multi-time zone environment. Highly organized with the ability to establish processes and workflows. Ability to translate requirements from technical leads into job descriptions. Familiarity with sourcing candidates and coordinating recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Willingness to occasionally handle petty cash and interact with external vendors as the accounting department requires. Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. [HR Certification, such as SHRM-CP or PHR, is a plus].
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
