As a Global Tax Manager, you will be part of our Global Accounting team that is responsible for ensuring that all internal and external reporting requirements are met and day-to-day operations and specifically closing and consolidation of domestic and foreign subsidiaries are running.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate the tax filings across a variety of jurisdictions throughout the US, Europe, and APJ regions
  • Supervise the preparation of local income tax returns with external counsel and of indirect tax filing for various jurisdictions throughout the US, Europe and APJ regions
  • Respond to tax examinations and correspond with tax authorities
  • Supervision, safeguarding and further development of the tax reporting and compliance management processes
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits and ensure timely resolution in the best interests of EFG
  • Manage the implementation and compliance with transfer pricing policies
  • Assist external auditors with tax and transfer pricing related matters
  • Tax support and ongoing tax advice for the national companies, including coordination and cooperation with external tax consultants
  • Consult and lead internal (entity) restructuring projects from a tax perspective
  • Identify and develop tax planning projects to support the broader Corporate Tax goals
  • Research international tax issues, while working closely with different teams within the company as well as external consultants, e.g. withholding tax
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve our accounting and tax related processes
  • Monitor global tax updates to identify issues and expand your tax knowledge
  • Tax advice for new acquisitions and support for tax integration
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
  • Build relationships and interact with internal customers to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
  • Maintain tax balances on general ledger

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a discipline in controlling, accounting or finance - ideally with focus on tax, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience
  • Acute attention to details, strong business judgment and autonomy
  • A 'hands-on', collaborative approach whilst working on detailed transactions on an independent basis and coordinating input from others
  • Fluent in English
  • Can multi-task, deal with ambiguity and work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Have excellent project management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, gain consensus among various teams, and drive initiatives to completion effectively
  • Have intellectual curiosity to seek knowledge and problem solve independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Have highly effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
