Tyvak International is seeking new members to join their team to support space vehicle development. Tyvak focuses on developing and integrating key components and technologies into highly integrated and high-performance nano-satellite vehicles. The team’s skillset ranges from architecture, design, build, and test of mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems integrated into small spacecraft.
We are looking for a capable Software Project Manager protected categories (L. 68/99), who will coordinate the software team during all phases of the software development cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, test, integration and documentation in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will act as a primary interface, coordinating and managing resource allocation.
Specific tasks may include:
- Relating to program managers’ team to understand which activities need to be carried out to complete different business programs.
- Relating to the design team to understand which skills are needed to deal with the different programs in place. Analyze whether these skills are already present in the team and in case of shortcomings propose targeted hiring.
- Support to the high-level design phase of new developments for satellite products with the different programs in place. Analyze whether these skills are already present in the team and in case of shortcomings propose targeted hiring.
- Allocate available resources to the different active programs, ensuring that the various needs are covered as far as possible.
- Follow and handle the ticket system for managing non-conformities found in developed SW products.
- Analyze and audit the existing SW development process and propose any updates and changes based on feedback from daily operations.
- Support to the high-level design phase of new developments for satellite products
- Participating in a software requirements generation, design, implementation and testing discussion with multiple team members
NOTE:Vacancy is expected to be filled in no more than 30 calendar days from the completion of the hiring process.
Requirements
- Belonging to Protected Categories (L.68/99) is mandatory
- BS CS, CPE, EE or equivalent degree required. MS in appropriate filed (e.g. CS, EE) preferred
- 3+ years in coding skills: C, C++, Python, Bash
- 3+ years’ experience in embedded developing
- 3+ experience as project manager in software projects
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience in managing a team of people
- Ability to help and guide the team, creating the optimal condition for it to work
- Knowledge of SW product life cycle best practices (analysis, development, installation, maintenance, etc.)
- Proven work experience as a developer of SW projects, with focus on the embedded part
- Fluent English and Italian are mandatory
