The Purpose:
We are currently seeking a Head of Tax to support our team’s strategy, growth and innovation. This role is part of the Global Finance team to manage the tax strategy and compliance of our entities in EMEA, Americas and APAC.
We are looking for someone who has strong technical knowledge across all tax heads, excellent problem solving skills, is a strong communicator, thrives on process improvement, and enjoys working in a challenging, fastpaced environment to support our continued successWhat you'll be doing:
  • Manage and organise the preparation, review, and submission of direct and indirect tax return filings, overseeing tax liabilities and payments for the Group
  • Coordinate with tax compliance providers to ensure proper reporting of transactions and support the business operationally in all significant transactions and go-to-market strategies
  • Advise on and execute the operationalisation of the group transfer pricing policy and monitor tax developments across relevant jurisdictions
  • Manage tax audits and handle discussions with external auditors and tax/legal advisors
  • An in-depth understanding of entities, transaction flows, risks, functions, and advice on intercompany transactions, relationships, and agreements will be critical for success
  • Manage the coordination and review of tax provisions for inclusion in the Group's Annual Reports, together with related disclosures
  • Advise departments and subsidiaries in tax related matters (VAT, sales tax, corporate tax)
  • Support the business in the timely evaluation of proposed strategic initiatives from a tax perspective, providing solutions and highlighting opportunities to the business
  • Be a key partner with stakeholders, financial auditors and tax auditors to ensure efficient and effective audit process
  • Keep up to date with current tax requirements
  • Manage a small tax team based in Germany amp; Brazil
You'll need to have:
  • Degree educated in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics or equivalent
  • 7+ years of tax experience, preferably in a blend of public accounting and a multinational corporate environment
  • Strong technical and financial report writing abilities
  • Your ability to understand and communicate complex tax matters to various stakeholders and demonstrate project management expertise will be crucial.
  • Proficiency in English is essential
  • Proven critical thinking capability
  • Ability to managed multiple stakeholders in a matrix organisation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with remote teams across departments
