Become part of a caring team of professionals striving for excellence as we are looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen brigade of our Il Porticciolo Restaurant. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges.
This is a seasonal position due to start in March 2024.
The Head Chef works closely with the Executive Chef in order to create menu items and develop dishes ensuring variety and quality at all times.
Among her/his main duties and responsibilities:
- planning and designing menus
- calculating food costs
- directing kitchen operations and managing the Porticciolo kitchen staff
- overseeing the food preparation, cooking and cleaning processes
- ensuring compliance with hygiene and health and safety regulations
Requirements
- at least 2 years in the position in 5* hotel kitchens or high-end venues
- ability to manage people
- attention to detail
- willingness to take initiative and make decisions
- ability to solve problems
