Job Description
Hotel Cipriani, a Belmond Hotel, Venice is looking for an Assistant Events Manager to create memorable and magic experiences for our guests.
This is a seasonal full time position starting from March 2024.
The Assistant Events Manager supports the Events Manager in all logistical and administrative tasks, and plans and executes various events, including weddings and any kind of social gatherings.
Main tasks and duties:
- ensure seamless execution of events from creation to completion;
- work closely with guests/clients to understand their specific requirements;
- act as the primary point of contact for both clients/guests and colleagues;
- promote the hotel's spaces and services to potential clients/guests and conduct site inspections;
- coordinate with external vendors such as musicians, florists, photographers ect.;
- oversee event setups, decorations, and equipments;
- coordinate with all hotel departments, in particular kitchen, maintenance, and housekeeping) to ensure smooth operations before, during and after the events.
Requirements
- Two-year experience in the same position or three in similar positions (for example, as Reservation Agent or Front Desk Agent);
- Fluent Italian and English are mandatory;
- Good eye for detail;
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of hotel departments and hotel functioning;
- Strong negotiation skills.
