THE ROLE New Guards Group is looking for an Area Manager - Italy. You will develop the Directly Operated Stores business in the country. The role will be responsible for managing the personnel and coordinating all the operating activities in order to maximize sales and guarantee an outstanding customer experience.WHAT YOU'LL DO- Ensure profits through a careful management, executing all activities to achieve sales and KPI targets
- Analyze sales reports to identify needs and plan business strategies
- Develop a deep understanding of the local customer base and current market trends
- Monitor the execution of the buying strategy, promptly informing regarding any shifts in the local market
- Maintain an impeccable image of the stores, taking corrective actions if necessary, liaising with corporate functions
- Ensure that all retail stores are fully compliant with legal, financial and HR procedures
- Ensure and monitor the implementation of stockroom procedures
- Maintain an effective flow of information between stores and other functions in order to respond to the needs of the market
- Motivate the team, working closely with them and promoting cooperation
- Manage the personnel ensuring recruitment, development and retention actions for sales staff
- Evaluate the performance of each Manager and provide constant feedback
- Ensure all employees issues are dealt in an effective manner following the guidance provided by the HR Department
WHO YOU ARE- 5+ years of senior management experience in luxury retail
- Deep knowledge of the luxury sector and retail best practices
- Demonstrable experience of increasing turnover and profitability
- Strong customer service mindset and commercial acumen
- Ability to inspire, motivate and lead
- Decision-making ability and organizational skills
- Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule
