Junior Back-end Developer - Internship

Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Back-end Developer to join our engineering team.
You will work together with the team responsible for building the ‘server-side’ of our websites and web applications.
You should be able to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.

Main responsibilities:
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
- Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our websites
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
Requirements
- Problem-solving
- Expertise with PHP, Laravel and MySQL
- Basic expertise in HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Basic expertise in Wordpress and basic concepts on theme development
- Basic experience with Docker is a plus
- Basic experience with serverless architectures is a plus
- Understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
- Good problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
- Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Fluent in Italian and English
- German is a plus
