About the role
At Empatica, we’re experiencing a great period of growth, and to continue on this trajectory we’re searching for a passionate and talented Designer to join our Product Design team. You will be joining at an exciting time in the company as we scale up to be the leader in remote health monitoring for countless conditions, with our full-stack AI platform and state-of-the-art medical wearables. As a Visual Designer, you will contribute to shaping the future of our products, from hardware UI to mobile and web digital products.
The role reports to the Design Director, however, as we are a full-stack company with a pretty flat hierarchy, you will often find yourself working closely with our product design team, our marketing design team, our multidisciplinary tech team members and internal stakeholders.
As a Visual/UI Designer, you will:
- Envision and deliver delightful visual concepts, static and animated
- Develop a unique, robust and effective physiological data visualization language in collaboration with our data scientists and stakeholders' requirements
- Design intuitive UI and explore new engaging ways of designing interactions
- Contribute to building a robust and scalable design system across Product and Brand
- Work closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers and Data Scientists to develop products that improve people’s lives
Some important details:
- Empatica is an international environment with offices in Europe and the US, and so we conduct all our work in English
- We are operating a hybrid model where our employees can choose whether to work from home or come to the office, however, this is not a full-remote position, and in-office presence is highly encouraged
Requirements
You are the ideal person for the Visual/UI Designer role if you:
- Love what you do
- Have a degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a relevant field, with a strong focus on graphic and UI design
- Have 5+ years of experience as a Visual and UI designer as well as a strong portfolio of related projects. UX experiences are a plus.
- Have excellent aesthetic and execution skills
- Have proficient use of prototyping and production design tools like Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, Cinema 4d, After Effect
- Have a solid and ever-expanding knowledge base also on other design-related fields
- Have a pragmatism well grounded in reality that helps you to parse complex data and information to get to the point quickly and effectively
- Have a get-things-done attitude, and done impeccably
- Have proficient communication skills in English (Italian not needed)
